Edit

I noticed after I posted my last blog, and as I was reading it again, that I said I havn't worked outside the school in over 10 years, I am sure you all figured out that was supposed to say, outside the HOME in over 1o years. This is what happens when I get tired. Goodnight all.

My once in every two months post.

Hey Everybody, just stopping in to say hi. The new exciting thing going on in my life, is that I actually have a job. Ok that is exaggerating a bit. I am a substitute for para's at the Grandview Elementry School where my kids go to school. TO me this is a big deal, because I havn't worked outside the school in over 10 years. I just figured that with all the kids in school I should do something. I am not big on working full time, never really have, and I still want to be there when the kids get out of school, so this is perfect for me. I Got training Last Wednesday on November 4, and my first day was Thursday November 5. I have already worked two times this week too. I have to admit that first day was TOUGH. I came home so tired, and sore, and I didn't feel like I did anything, but it wiped me out.

I have done better this week. I think that was mostly because I got closer to 6 or 7 hours of sleep instead of 4, but Hey that might not have anything to do with it lol. Its been fun, because I have been able to see my kids throughout the day which has been exciting. I was told I never would a sub in my kids classrooms but the school is so small that we pass each other in the halls all the time. Plus Adalene did the Announcements this past week, and they have a radio station in the school, so the announcements are over the tv so I got to see her on there. The first time was such a shock because I didn't know about, it so I looked up to watch the Announcements and there was my beautiful Daughter. I was also Outside Recess Duty, and of course each of them has recess so I got ot spend some time there with them too. I have really enjoyed it, and I hope to do more of it. It gets me out of the house, and out of my comfort zone.

I have also noticed that I am not as obsessed about a certain topic in my life that has been the front burner story of my life for the last three years. I have not stressed about it as much, and it is not a constant thought. I am not saying I do not still want another baby, because that will never go away. I still pray everyday that I will be blessed with another baby in my life, BUT, when I am at school and not just at home in bed, not doing anything, I do have other thoughts, and I think that is good. So we will see where that leads, and if and when I will ever be able to have a baby.

Well this seems to be just a blog of random thoughts, but since I don't think many people read it anyways, I guess it is ok. Plus just because I am going to school everyday, doesn't mean I am GOING to school, so I can have run on sentences lol.

Not much to share

I just noticed that I havn't blogged for awhile. I just wanted to let everybody know that Everything is going great. The kids have started school. I did take pictures of their first day, but I have not asked Lewis to get them off my computer yet, so when I do then I will post them. Ashley started Kindergarten this year, and that was such a sweet moment. She was so excited to start school, and be a big girl. She is really enjoying school.

Alex started Second grade this year, and Adalene is in fourth. They really love school and they are all three doing a great job. They started a new school this year. We moved off post and moved into our new house, and they have a school right in the community we now live in. It is really small but it is so great. There is only ONE class per grade, and I think that is awesome, and each class is really small. There are only 15 kids in Adalene's class, and I think it is really great. I love all their teachers.

Anyways that is pretty much all that is going on right now. I will add pictures, and I am hoping to keep up better on my blogs.

Ok I promise this is it about the house lol. Of course nothing else is exciting in my life right now so this might be the last blog too for all I know. JUST KIDDING. Anyways, so I already showed you the kitchen in the last blog, so right off the kitchen is our laundry room. Right behind that door, is a little small closet for our coats and boots and stuff, so Lewis I guess is calling it our mud room too. There is a door to the outside right to the left, so if I trusted the stairs, that would be great.

off of hte kitchen the other way is a little room, that Lewis calls the Dining room, but since that is not where we are putting our table to eat, and where Lewis is setting up his computer and stuff, I guess its a little Study/den for Lewis, just no doors or privacy.

Right off of that room is The master room, IT IS HUGE. You could put two kings in this room and still have room to do cartwheels. There is also a walk in closet like all rooms, but this is actually big enough for two people so that is nice. THen of course you have the huge master bathroom and as you can tell this is going to be where I spend a lot of my time lol. You can't see them but there are actually two closets in there, for storage and our linen's so that is really nice. And then there is also a shower.

Well that is our house. My telling about it really doesn't show you the full impact of this house, but it works for now. I hope that lots of people come and visit, we have LOTS of room for everybody, and I can't wait to have people come see us in our new house.

Second to the last HOuse pictures.

It seems like you can only add 5 pictures at a time, so this isn't the last of them, but close. Of course these are all out of order from where I wanted to take you, but I can tell you about the rooms anyways.

Ok so as you come into the front door, you look and you can see the Second picture. Which is of cour where you have the back door, the fireplace, and we are also putting our Dining room table there, to eat, since it is right by the kitchen. The kitchen is small, but since i hate cooking anyways, and the kitchen is the room I spend the least amount of time in that is ok with me, ha ha. I hated the fridge, so Lewis and I did go out and buy a new one, its not here yet, but I am looking forward to getting it. Also that door that you see in the second picture, that is the door to the stiars.

The third picture is the UPSTAIRS bathroom, and that is right by Alex's room, and the Guest room/slash whatever else we have in there right now room. The last picture is Alex's room. Those rooms are off to the left as you walk through the front door. NOw off to the last pictures of the house lol.

More pictures of the house

Ok so this is the rest of the basement. AS you come down the stairs (which are right through the living room from the front door), you walk into the TV room/family room. Its also where I am going to put all of my books. It is a really big room so it can hold lots of stuff.

As you can see right by the stairs there is a door. you go through the door, and it leads into the BIG space that is the Bottom picture. That is where we are going to put the kids toys, and the craft space for the kids. there is also that little space right off to the right as you are looking the picture, and off to the left in that space is a storage closet, which is nice to have. then further down the hall is the girls rooms where I already showed you the pictures of those.

The middle picture, is a work shop for Lewis. That will be nice for him to have his own space, but yes it is right in the basement, right by the toy area so that is odd to me, but it is nice too, and since hte TV room is down there too, I guess we can all be downstiars working and playing "together".

So I guess in the next blog I will do the upstairs, then that will be my house.

pictures

Ok right now there is going to only be a couple of pictures to see if I even know how to post pictures. I have never done this so hopefully, it will show up.

The top picture is a picture of our living room looking at the front door. It is upstairs, and right now we are storing all of our stuff that we havn't moved into the real rooms yet lol. The second picture is Ashley's room. It is downstairs in the basement, right by Adalene's room which is the picture right beneath it, so the third picture. They are pretty good sized rooms with a walk in closet and everything. I really believe that the girls love having their own rooms, and ashley seems to be sleeping better even and not comign in my room EVERY night around 3 lol. There is more to the basement, but I will post htem in the next blog.

The fourth picture is of course the Front of the house from the outside.

So that is what I have so far. I will write another blog with more pictures after I post this one and see how it turned out. Thanks for being patient lol.

New house

Well I thought I would blog about this, before months go by and I still hadn't written about finally getting into our new house. As it is we have had keys to the house for almost a week, and I am just now writing about it lol.

As many of you know, you know what a ordeal this has been for Lewis and I. We found out that we were going to get kicked out of our house on Post back in March. They are doing rennovations on the houses on the streen we were living in, so wanted to move us to some different houses on Post. Well Lewis and I went and looked at the ones they wanted to move us into, and we decided that it really wouldn't do for our family, so we decided we wanted to buy. We started looking that day, and pretty much found the house we wanted right away. Now came the fun part. We thought we were home free because we made an offer and the sellers accepted it right away. We were thinking "well this is easy" HA. We put in a date for closing, after all the inspections and everything for April 27th.

So then we started the fun proccess of financing. We found a bank that we really liked and they were working with us really well, but then we found out they couldn't finance us because of they type of house we are living in. SO they took it to a different bank, and they didn't have the underwriting staff they needed to do it so they sent it somewhere else. Finally they started, but they kept getting pushed back. So needless to say we didn't close on teh 27th of April, or the 15th of May like they said would be the next closing day. It got pushed back three times. Until FINALLY on May 27th, one month after the original day, we signed for the keys.

ITs a really nice house, and I am glad we bought it. My kids have already found Frogs in windowsills, and garter snakes (which Luckily I have not seen yet), so they are loving it here. Alex has made a couple of friends which is great, and I am glad. He didn't have many options on Watie Street, so glad he has some here. We are slowly but surely getting unpacked. One thing about moving is that you really realize how much "STUFF" you have. Its crazy. Luckily this house is big enough to store it all plus some lol.

I will try to post pictures when Lewis takes a couple of seconds to get the pictures for me from his camera. He doesn't even have his computer set up so just need to wait for him, then I will do my best to figure out how to post pictures. I will go into more detail then about the layout of the house and what it looks like.

Graduation

Tonight my little Brother Graduated.  It was amazing, and crazy and all of those feelings rolled into one.   He graduated 14 years younger then me, and as I was sitting there watching him sit there, I was wondering what was going through his mind.   Was he scared of what was to come, was he thinking, this is "boring I just want to get out of here".   I have to say listing to the speaker I have to admit, it was not a good moment, and even though I was finding it a borning speaker that didn't know what he should be saying to a bunch of graduates, I was still watching my brother.  He was listening and watching, and I was glad he was getting something out of the speaker.  I love my brother and glad that he now gets to experience the next stage of his life.  He is going to go off to shchool, then in a few months go on a mission, and I am just greatful that he has grown to be the young man that he has grown up to be.   Now I can sit back and see what he does with the rest of his life.
